Updated Tobacco Retailer Training Programs Guidance 
Today, FDA published the updated guidance, “Tobacco Retailer Training Programs.” The guidance has been revised to clarify that retailers may continue to sell and distribute tobacco products with packaging that does not bear the required health warning statements after the effective date, but only if the products were manufactured before the effective date of the health warning statement requirements, Aug. 10, 2018.

New Tobacco Compliance Webinar

The FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products invites you to watch the new webinar, “Importing Tobacco Products: Updates for Importers.” This webinar addresses some frequently asked questions from importers of tobacco products and provides some tips for importers. More specifically, topics discussed include an update on the dates to meet certain requirements, what is (and what is not) required when importing a regulated tobacco product, establishment registration, importation of regulated tobacco products for personal use, prior notice for the importation of regulated tobacco products, product codes, tariff classification and Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes, and user fees.
