State Groups remember just because you might be a part of another advocacy group doesn't mean you let them take over your State or let anyone misguide you on the direction of our fight. Big Tobacco might stand with our lobbyist from time to time but remember they are not on our side. PICK A SIDE
OPEN SYSTEMS = SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS AND MANUFACTURERS CHANGING LIVES BY CONVERTING ONE SMOKER AT A TIME, OR
CLOSED SYSTEMS = BIG TOBACCO WANTING THEIR 22 BILLION DOLLARS THAT THEY LOST LAST YEAR TO THE OPEN SYSTEMS and THAT DON'T CARE ABOUT KILLING MILLIONS OF PEOPLE BY CAUSING CANCER.
THEY WANT US GONE AND BY BANNING FLAVORS THEY KNOW THEY CAN ACCOMPLISH THIS, AND THEN THEY WIN. IF CONSUMERS VAPE THEIR CLOSED SYSTEMS OR GO BACK TO SMOKING THEY WIN.
This is what ACTUAL CORRUPTION looks like .
JUUL released their advisory response on how to slow youth vaping today....Here's a breakdown of why this is insane.
JUUL intentionally created a product that did not depend on flavor.
They did this in an industry where nearly EVERY company was dependent on flavors to grow.
They did this by creating high Nicotine Salt based e-liquid that contained Benzoic Acid.
Benzoic Acid allows the body to absorb the nicotine at a much faster rate than standard e-liquids
Because of the Benzoic Acid and High nicotine content (nearly 10 times normal industry standard of 3-6mg) JUUL users get an actual Nicotine Buzz (like too much caffeine)
JUUL is the vapor product of choice for most underage users for this exact reason.
Now JUUL is suggesting that flavors are the issue with teen vaping
There is no evidence to back up these claims.
What you are seeing now is the final phase of Governmental created monopoly on an emerging market . Being created by un-elected bureaucrats inside the FDA.
The FDA declared Teen Vaping an Epidemic (theres not one)
The FDA responded and tasked a small group of manufacturers to address youth vaping .
JUUL and Altria were tops of that list.
They were to design a strategy to curb the issue their products created
Instead of addressing the issue that they were fueling with their products, they combined forces.
Altria purchased 35% of JUUL
So now Altria (Big Tobacco) and JUUL having combined forces are suggesting the FDA ban flavors and with that 99% of their competition along with it .
Isn't that convenient ?
Take a moment to digest that.
Why on Earth would the FDA ask the 2 companies who they admit are the biggest offenders to decide the future of an industry that they are the worst offenders in ?
The Government is seeing smokers quitting at never before seen rates.
You would think they would be helpful and encouraging of Harm Reduction strategies helping smokers make less harmful choices.
But unfortunately the government is addicted to MSA payments (master settlement agreement)
These are payments from Big Tobacco's lost Class Action suit.
These payments go to states to pay for harming the states citizens
These payments are based on cigarettes sold
Cigarettes are also taxed at astronomical rates
The state's in years past so sure no one would quit smoking (because nearly no one ever did) , that some State's borrowed against FUTURE MSA Payments.
They actually bet on their citizens not quitting
Unfortunately for those payments, Vaping came along in 2009 and smoking rates fell off a cliff.
heres the issue....
Every smoker that quits , takes with them TONS of revenue from State Budgets.
Now, Altria , is a proven player.
Altria is a fantastic partner for a Government agency trying to wrangle back BILLIONS of dollars of lost taxes and payments.
Why would Altria be such a fantastic partner for such an Org?
Altria has no problem paying $1M per product to register with the FDA
They are a Multinational Multi-Billion Dollar Conglomerate
Altria has no problem paying Insane SIN taxes of up to 95% like we have allowed on tobacco and now see happening to vapor products.
Altria is a proven partner allowing the FDA to look tough and with a track record of ensuring the government wheels to get greased.
Problem is that there are 20K Vapor businesses in America
Problem is there is 150,000 Vapor jobs in America
These are the small businesses, product enthusiasts, ex-smokers that created this industry .
This is who JUUL and Altria want out of business.
Because to them they aren't success stories , they are competitors.
The FDA is actively working with Altria and JUUL , to design a regulatory apparatus that will take all those jobs, all those businesses, and feed them to Altria
In turn Altria/JUUL will agree to pay exorbitant tax rates and regulatory costs that the FDA and State Governments will accept in exchange for allowing a market so expensive that only their Big Tobacco friends can play.
This is not only unethical, but despicable
Vaping is being shown in study after study to be INCREDIBLY LESS HARMFUL than smoking. The UK promotes vaping in hospitals as AT LEAST 95% SAFER .
There is NO JUST CAUSE to be restricting access to vapor products
There is NO JUST CAUSE to be taxing vapor products.
VAPOR IS A SOLUTION TO THE BIGGEST KILLER IN AMERICA , not a problem to be solved .
Vapor Products are currently helping some one you love !
Big Tobacco is currently Killing someone you love !
And the FDA is only OK with which one pays better.
VTA - IS DEALING WITH THIS AND ONCE WE KNOW THE OUT COME WE WILL NOTIFY EVERYONE. THE BOARD IS GOING THROUGH THEIR PROCESS.
